Making Disciples to Make a Difference

Our History

On December 15, 1943, the Immanuel Baptist Church of Oklahoma City began services and a mission with Rev. Hollis Morris as the mission pastor. Rev. Morris was then a student at Oklahoma Baptist University, and later attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. On May 5, 1946, the First Baptist Church of Newalla was formally organized with Rev. Morris as the first pastor. The First Baptist Church of Newalla has been used of God to touch hundreds of lives throughout the years, and continues to be a growing witness for Jesus Christ in the community and around the world. In May 1996, our church celebrated its 50th Anniversary.
In the past few years God has welcomed many new family members to this home. Believing it to be God’s will, our church continues to expand, desiring to be a loving church reaching out to those in need! What’s next? Only God knows and as we seek Him, let us see where God is working and join Him!
